It does seem hard to believe that a Politician could feel it is OK to receive that amount of money whether he "deserved" it or not. I strongly believe that there must have been a better use for the money rather than go to a Politician who I am sure could have survived without it. There is quite a bit of clean up left to do and any little bit can help. But like Claire has stated it's hard to base our beliefs soley on what the news has provided us.

That's a damn shame. I think we need more transaparency. Like live audio and video feeds from public officials' offices, cell phones, vehicles. At the very least, all contract bids and negotiations should be recorded and broadcast LIVE to the public. And any company that does business with the public should be forced to make public every transaction for the next x years. Same with the those companies' top executives' private transactions.

And they have no right to bitch about privacy or whatever until they get rid of that PATRIOT act, and get rid of that sketchy credit database.
